Catherine O'Donnell

 

Catherine O'Donnell's art practice focuses on the urban landscape, representing the commonly overlooked dwellings of Sydney suburbia in an abstracted form. She holds a Masters in Fine Arts (Drawing) from the National Art School and a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts (Distinction and Deans Medal) from UWS. She exhibits widely and is represented in both public and private collections and her exhibitions and residencies have taken her across Australia and overseas. She has won many awards and numerous commendations, exhibition highlights include, The Dobell Prize for Drawing, The Kedumba Drawing Award, The Albury Art Prize, The Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing, Hazelhurst Art on Paper, The Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Award (JADA), The New Zealand International Art Festival and the Dobell Australian Drawing Biennale.
