Rebecca Gallo

Rebecca Gallo is an artist and art writer based in Parramatta. In her material practice, Gallo combines discarded and manufactured objects into assemblages, totems and carefully catalogued collections. With a focus on utility and materiality, these works are an exploration of material culture and the ways in which value is constructed. Together with Connie Anthes, Gallo is one half of the artistic collaboration Make or Break, exploring the role and visibility of artist labour, process, audiences and collectors in generating art works and art market value.
